Why Teambuild?

Are you ready for TeamBuild? Our unique construction industry event is held every November and we want you to be part of it. If you are a young professional working in the construction industry, this cross-disciplinary construction competition is a fantastic opportunity for you to showcase your skills and improve on them whilst boosting your networks and building valuable connections.

How to be part of Teambuild

You can enter as an individual or as part of a team, and don’t worry if you don’t have your own team as we’ll help when it comes to forming teams for those who need them. There is an initial pre-qualification process, which is a paper-based submission and we ask that any initial expressions of interest are submitted by 30 August 2014. Details of the qualification process will be sent to everyone who registers an interest and the actual TeamBuild construction industry event will then be held on 14-16 November 2014.

What you need and what you’ll gain

Each team needs a variety of skills as they will need to work through various challenges together, including architectural, landscape, civil, structural, M&E, financial, construction and project management. In fact, TeamBuild is such an integrated and challenging construction industry event, it is recognised by building institutions throughout the UK as equal to four days CPD (Continuing Professional Development). But that’s not all, there are so many reasons to enter TeamBuild, including:

  • Improving how you present, lead and communicate
  • Developing delegation skills
  • Gaining new insight into the running of large scale development projects
  • Appreciating the value of interdisciplinary working

A plethora of eminent figures from the construction industry are also on hand as you think, discuss, sketch, design, compromise, calculate and present your work at every stage.
