This year, the site was an extraordinary, iconic, world-class development – NIRAH: a freshwater ‘experience’. NIRAH is a proposed research, leisure and science-park of international importance, four times the size of the Eden Centre. This pioneering project combines conservation and science in a way that is accessible to the public. The development will include biotopes, freshwater environments, complex research and science park facilities, and leisure opportunities ranging from waterpark family days out to international-standard conference facilities and boutique hotels.

Outline Planning Permission has already been secured on an ex-quarry site just south of Bedford.

Teambuild are extremely grateful to the project team, including Ronnie Murning (Project Director), Keith Edelman (Chairman), Grimshaw, ARUP, Davis Langdon and Sir Robert McAlpine, for allowing the use of their site.

Teams were given real briefing documents from NIRAH itself, and asked to complete tasks over the weekend working on the real information they have been given.
